From September 14 to 15, the 2026 Petroleum & Chemical Industry Circular Economy Development Conference and the 4th Shanghai Chemical Industry Zone Green Low-Carbon Development Conference grandly opened in Shanghai. Meanwhile, the "Suez Innovation Day・Asia" was officially launched. Co-hosted by Shanghai Chemical Industry Zone and China National Chemical Information Center, the conference focused on in-depth discussions on circular economy, green and low-carbon transition and application of cutting-edge environmental technologies in the petrochemical sector. Ms. Liu Nannan, CEO of Zhongmoyuan Superfoss, together with Professor Zheng Xing, Chief Scientist of Kingfoss, and Mr. Ji Yongxi, Sales Manager, were invited to take part in the special exchange session of Suez Innovation Day, discussing technological innovation in water resource circulation, wastewater reuse and zero liquid discharge for chemical parks with industry peers at home and abroad.

With the theme of "Green New Journey・Circular Future", this high-level industrial exchange platform for China’s petrochemical industry is held at the critical starting point of the 15th Five-Year Plan period. The *2026 China Petrochemical Industry Circular Economy Blue Book* was officially released at the conference. For the first time, "element circulation" was set as an independent mainline, putting forward new ideas for resource circulation in the chemical industry, and clarifying that wastewater resource recovery, critical element recycling and closed-loop circulation in industrial parks are core approaches for the low-carbon transition of petrochemical industry. A series of keynote speeches, high-level interviews and parallel forums focused on topics including chemical high-salinity wastewater treatment, material closed-loop circulation, sustainable finance and industry-university-research collaborative innovation, exploring the fundamental transformation of the industry from end-of-pipe treatment to resource recycling.
本次同步启动的“苏伊士创新合作日・亚洲地区”，搭建中外环保技术对接平台，围绕工业园区污水回用、零排放、固废资源化、氟化物回收等行业痛点设置专题展区与技术对话环节。苏伊士集团高级副总裁Jerome BAILLY在活动中提到，化工园区是循环经济规模化落地的核心载体，石化企业对先进污水处理、资源回收装备的需求持续提升。
The concurrently launched "Suez Innovation Day・Asia" built a matching platform for Chinese and foreign environmental technologies, featuring special exhibition zones and technical dialogues targeting industry pain points such as industrial park wastewater reuse, zero liquid discharge, solid waste resource utilization and fluoride recovery. Jerome BAILLY, Senior Vice President of Suez Group, mentioned at the event that chemical parks serve as the core carrier for large-scale implementation of circular economy, and petrochemical enterprises have growing demand for advanced wastewater treatment and resource recovery equipment.
