From June 30 to July 2, the 21st 2026 Qingdao International Water Conference & Expo grandly opened at China Railway Qingdao World Expo City. Superfoss and Kingfoss were invited to co-exhibit at the event. Professor Zheng Xing from Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, Chief Scientist of the two brands, delivered an important technical report at the special forum during the conference. Hosted by Qingdao Municipal People’s Government, themed “Water – Source of Life, Foundation of Development”, this conference stands as an influential comprehensive international exchange platform for the water industry across the Asia-Pacific region.
On July 1, the special forum Reuse & Zero Liquid Discharge of High-salinity Wastewater (Part II) was successfully held. Professor Zheng Xing from Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, Chief Scientist of Superfoss & Kingfoss, co-hosted the forum and delivered the keynote report All-domestic Water-lubricated Plunger Pump Coupled with Energy Recovery Technology for Low-carbon Operation of High-salinity Water RO Systems. The lecture hall was fully packed. Professor Zheng released authoritative on-site test results: the integrated system consisting of Superfoss high-pressure pumps and Kingfoss energy recovery devices comprehensively outperforms top international counterparts in all comprehensive operational indicators. The speech drew warm responses from the audience, greatly boosting industry confidence in domestic high-end water treatment equipment and marking a landmark technological breakthrough for indigenous core water treatment equipment. Covering an exhibition area of 15,000 ㎡, the expo gathered over 400 leading industrial brands with specialized zones for seawater desalination, membrane technology, pumps & valves, industrial water treatment and smart water services. Over 400 professional seminars across 8 major sessions were held simultaneously. The two-part special session focusing on high-salinity wastewater reuse and zero liquid discharge covered core topics including high-salinity mine water, coal chemical concentrated brine, industrial waste salt recycling and low-carbon operation of membrane systems. Global specialists, EPC contractors and equipment purchasers gathered for technical exchanges and targeted business matching. On-site supporting activities including one-on-one business talks, industry-university-research achievement releases and project cooperation matchmaking connected resources across the whole industrial chain. Leveraging the authoritative industry platform of Qingdao Water Conference, especially the special forum on zero liquid discharge of high-salinity wastewater, Superfoss and Kingfoss precisely connected resources for coastal seawater desalination, coal chemical, electroplating and other high-salinity wastewater treatment projects as well as industrial water-saving renovation projects, while exchanging cutting-edge low-carbon technology trends with universities and peers at home and abroad.
